Hello!  My name is Andee Szwabowski, and I am the owner of The Whimsical Word.  I have been a certified Speech-Language Pathologist since 2000, and have had the pleasure of servicing students of all ages in various Chicagoland suburbs.

 

When given the opportunity to give speech telepractice a try in 2016, I went for it! I now provide virtual therapy services to students via an online platform, and am licensed in 5 states.

 

I have fallen in LOVE with online, virtual speech teletherapy. The problem was, it was difficult to find materials for therapy use, when I moved to the online space.  So, I created my own!

 

My NO PRINT, NO PREP materials are easy to use on digital devices such as videoconferencing platforms, iPads, and smart boards.  I've place these products for sale on Teachers Pay Teachers (TpT), so I can save you time, and money!

 

I also author a blog about my experiences as a online therapist.   And, most recently, I added a podcast to my website!  Here you’ll be able to listen to expert advice on topics related to Speech Telepractice, and more.

My hobbies include restoring vintage furniture, anything related to home decorating, kayaking and hiking in the mountains. 

 

I have been married for 21 years, and have two daughters, ages 16 and 12.  Life certainly keeps me on my toes!
